As a new dog owner, picking the perfect name for your pooch is one of the most important things you can do. Often it is harder than it appears, especially when all the family invloved cant agree on a name. It’s no surprise that just like baby names, dog names too also follow trends. If it were up to the kids I’d imagine Bluey or Banjo would be getting a good run for its money right about know (thanks to the ABC show ‘Bluey’)
Safe to say that Mad Paws have recently released a list of Australia’s Top 100 Dog Names after a stellar effort of analyising over 500,000 pets.
For a whopping six years in a row, Bella reclaimed the title as the most popular dog name overall in 2021, followed by Charlie at number 2, Luna in third place, Coco ranked 4th and Max was 5th. Charlie was the number one dog name for male dogs, with Max and Buddy following in second and third. Suprisingly no Bluey, however Banjo made it and comes it at 90
